Hello everyone. I believe lying is not good. However, there are times when a lie that doesn't hurt anyone is not bad. I'm Boss from Kawaii Republic.
You suddenly started talking about serious stuff. Lying is tricky. It's not simply 'okay if it doesn't hurt someone', but I also don't think it's an absolute wrong. I'm Saori from Kawaii Republic!
So, the character we're introducing this time is from Sumikko Gurashi and is related to lying. But it seems like there's a reason behind it......? I wonder what it could be.

What is Nisetsumuri (Fake Snail)?

Nisetsumuri (Fake Snail) is a side character in Sumikko Gurashi with a certain circumstance. As the name suggests, it is not actually a snail; its true identity is a slug. It wears a shell to mimic a snail and always feels a bit guilty. So whenever something happens, it quickly apologizes due to its guilt, displaying a humble character.
However, the secret is actually known to the surrounding Sumikko Gurashi characters, and despite that, they all treat it kindly and are good friends with it.
The closest friend is Tokage. Tokage is actually a dinosaur, so they're both individuals hiding their true identities (Fake Snail knows Tokage is a dinosaur), and they naturally get along well. Since the shell is a disguise, it often forgets it, or switches it for a different pattern.
Why do you think Nisetsumuri is lying?
Well, there are times like that. What's important is whether you can confess properly when that secret is about to hurt someone. But Nisetsumuri seems to have a kind personality, so I think it'll be okay.
