Neko (Gattinosh) is a main character appearing in Sumikko Gurashi.

The character is timid and shy. Due to its modest nature, it often yields its spot in the corner of the room to others when someone comes, and tends to hide in narrow spaces like under cloths, futons, or cat cans, where it feels very calm. As it's a cat, it's often seen sharpening its claws in the corner of the room.

It's a big eater but a little concerned about its fat body. It manages the money on behalf of the other main characters, and illustrations of it often holding a wallet are released.

In fact, it's one of three siblings, and the other two are happily living with humans. They are very close-knit cat siblings who occasionally bump into each other when they go for a walk.
