So! As I mentioned at the beginning, today I’d like to introduce the recently concluded Weeding Test Certification arc that’s been serialized for a while now. I’m Saori from Kawaii Republic~!

So, what was happening? Well, Chiikawa was attempting the Weeding Test Certification, a real qualification. Chiikawa had taken the 5th grade exam twice and failed both times. Meanwhile, Hachiware, who took it with Chiikawa, passed earlier, which made things a bit awkward...... but finally, the manga depicted Chiikawa deciding to challenge the exam a third time!

Chiikawa studied hard for the test, and Hachiware gave a lucky charm bracelet saying, 'Hope you pass!'—they both felt nervous, but determined to succeed this time! On the day of the exam, Hachiware arrived at the venue early to cheer Chiikawa on...... but Chiikawa wasn’t showing up!? When Hachiware went to look, they found Chiikawa caught up in a major incident!

This certification arc ran for quite a while, and every time a new chapter came out, social media was filled with messages wondering whether Chiikawa would pass or fail again. I also really wanted Chiikawa to pass on the third try, but the situation was so intense, it had me on edge...... By the way, there was a period where the Weeding Test arc wasn't updated for some reason. Right before that break, Nagano-sensei posted an illustration that seemed to show they had won something...... I wonder what they won? I feel like I’ve seen that cow somewhere before too......

And by the way...... the result was that Chiikawa passed safely! That means Chiikawa finally passed the 5th grade Weeding Test Certification after five long years! Congratulations~!!! In Japan, congratulations poured in, and it even sparked quiet talk about how that one Sanrio character actually has a 1st grade certification...... It’s a happy occasion indeed.
