GLOOMY The Naughty Grizzly is a character, and the works in which the character appears, designed by illustrator Mori Chack-Sensei (his own mascot).

GLOOMY is a large pink bear. His height is about 2 meters and his weight is stated to be equivalent to 2000 pomegranates.

Despite its cute appearance, it has frighteningly sharp claws and fangs and is always dripping with fresh blood for some reason. Its character is just like a ferocious bear, and it attacks its owner, a boy named Pity-kun, causing him to bleed.

Pity-kun picked up GLOOMY when he was young and is committed to raising him to the end as his owner. Thanks to Pity-kun, he has learned basic discipline, but he has a hard time understanding that he shouldn't attack people.

The origin of GLOOMY's name is a combination of the Japanese word 'gurumi' as in 'nuigurumi' (stuffed animal), 'amigurumi' (crocheted stuffed toy), 'kigurumi' (costume), and the English word 'GLOOMY' (pessimistic, hopeless), as well as the sound 'gururu' which is the growling noise of animals.
