Hello everyone~! When you mention 'Kapibara'...... I recently learned that they can fight fiercely enough to leave scars, I'm Saori from Kawaii Republic!
That turned into a dangerous conversation all of a sudden.
But today, I'd like to introduce a loose and cute character related to Kapibara, which is very popular in Japan!

What is Kapibara-san?
Kapibara-san is, as the title suggests, a loose and cute character work based on the capybara, created by BANPRESTO.
Originally it was made into merchandise as one of the crane game prizes in 2003, and after that, the character exploded in popularity. Due to a lot of requests for goods other than crane games, it started as a solid work.
As the title of the work suggests, many characters based on real capybaras appear. It depicts the relaxed daily life of wild capybaras living in a meadow called 'Midorino Grassland'. All the characters that appear love hot springs. They are generally laid-back, but when necessary, they can run away at speeds of over 50 km/h.
Has the art style changed a bit recently?
The illustrations published on SNS have become cute, so that the loose and cute charm of the character is better conveyed. I really like it!
Kapibara-san is especially known for having lots of plushie merchandise! Just as fluffy and cute as it looks, I even have a cute doll I won from a UFO catcher a long time ago at my house!
