What is RILAKKUMA? (About the work)

RILAKKUMA is a work that depicts the daily lives of loose and cute characters created by San-X Co., Ltd.

The origin of the name RILAKKUMA is because the main character is a “relaxing bear”. There is a slight difference between the setting announced by San-X Co., Ltd. and the setting thought by the illustrator, Kondo Aki-Sensei, who created the characters.

The protagonist, Rilakkuma, is a mysterious bear that suddenly showed up at a woman's house named Kaoru-San one day.

However, there is a zipper on his back, and you can sometimes see a mysterious polka-dot cloth. Therefore, it is not a real bear, but its true identity remains a mystery.

He enters Kaoru-San's house without permission and relaxes freely, but when she took her eyes off, two bear-like creatures and a bird-like creature had increased. (This story has also been animated, so you can follow the story somewhat)
