Now! Finally today! The movie version of that work awaited by the whole world is released! In Japan, almost all theaters are fully booked! I have also made solid plans to go watch it this weekend~!

So starting today, July 24th, Chiikawa the Movie: The Secret of the Mermaid Island opens in theaters! While Chiikawa is basically a single-episode story, this Siren arc is a slightly rare long Episode! After writing, it was originally revealed to be an episode for a movie, and although it hadn't been animated for a long time, it has now been released as a theatrical film!

Since this episode has already been made into a manga, if no movie-original episode is added, you can prepare by reading all of Volume 8 of the manga! To briefly explain the synopsis, on a flyer Usagi brought one day, it was written that on a certain island you could experience '100x reward for simple subjugation, delicious food virtually free'! Chiikawa and friends went to play right away, but that island was frequently attacked by Sirens, and the islanders begged them tearfully to subjugate them...! ...is how the story goes.

For fans, the movie release is wonderful, but merchandise for the popular characters Siren and Shimajiro had rarely come out for a long, long time until now, so starting to see so many along with the movie release makes me happy!

It is said that overseas, countries where the movie is released will gradually expand starting in August! Everyone, please be sure to check out both the movie and the merchandise!
