The four characters who have formed the unit as Cheeristails this time are Marroncream, Usahana, Wish me mell, and Bonbonribbon!
Although their debut periods span widely from the 1980s to the 2010s, they were selected as four of Sanrio's ’rabbit’ characters who have been loved across generations!

The unit name is a coined word combining ’Cheer,’ meaning encouragement, ’-ist,’ representing ’a person who does,’ and ’tails,’ meaning a tail, with ’tails’ also overlapping with the sound of ’tales,’ meaning a story. It carries the meaning that the four characters, each with a different charm, will support a ’step’ for people to move forward in their own way and spin ’the story of the Chearists,’ and the concept is ’a step forward together with four tails.’ They seem ready to stay close to people who are unsure of their individuality or face worries in their daily lives, and support a ’step’ to move forward while treasuring who they are!
