Today! The director of Molcar has started a new stop-motion anime! It’s super cute...... but watch out, they might be living inside your mouth too~!?

As you can see, this stop-motion anime is made with resin and shrink plastic! While Molcar used fluffy felt to capture the softness of guinea pigs, this project uses plump, glossy materials to create a distinct retro vibe!

It seems like 'Caries,' a cavity, has taken up residence in the mouth of a girl named Ame, who isn't very good at brushing her teeth. Caries calls Ame 'Mama' because she lets him stay and eats lots of sugary sweets, and he even offers to help her whenever she’s in trouble...... but for Ame, having a cavity named Caries living there is the trouble itself!

It was the same with Molcar, but I still can't believe this is all done by hand—meticulously moving each piece frame by frame! The story seems to progress in self-contained episodes. Will Caries ever be evicted from Ame’s mouth? You can’t help but want to watch over this cute yet slightly creepy relationship. 'Candy Caries' is now streaming for free, so go check it out~!
