This time! Adorable plushies based on the illustration released last Children's Day have arrived! ......Everyone has such beautiful legs......!

Many of you are probably wondering, 'What are these plushies?' The theme this time is the Koinobori, a traditional good-luck decoration displayed annually on May 5th for Children's Day. It's said that koi carp are modeled after Chinese dragons, and the hope is that children will overcome life's challenges like the koi and achieve success.

To be more specific, during the Edo period, when a son was born to a shogun (a high-ranking person), there was a custom of raising flags or banners with family crests to celebrate. Over time, this tradition spread to ordinary households and became widely known as a good-luck charm wishing for children's health, growth, and success.

In 2024, Nagano-sensei, the creator of Chiikawa, also drew an illustration of Koinobori. However, it was posted on May 7th. As the comment 'It's already over' suggests, the illustration portrays Koinobori that weren’t able to be displayed on May 5th......

And so, the Koinobori mascots released this time are based on that illustration! They come with a keychain attached to the head so you can clip them onto your bag! Everyone, please check out these new plushies with their adorably slender legs!
