What is Kuromi?

Kuromi is one of the few “villain” characters among Sanrio Characters.
She was originally an anime-original character who appeared in the anime “Onegai My Melody”, which was created to commemorate the 30th anniversary of My Melody's birth.
After the broadcast started, she was an anime-only character, but Sanrio also started releasing merchandise, and the development of character goods exclusively for Kuromi started separately from the anime.
She is an anthropomorphized rabbit wearing a black hood, just like her rival, My Melody. In her relationship as a rival to My Melody, she is always up to some mischief.
